Globalcote exterior coatings are designed specifically with Australia’s unique climate in mind and have been thoroughly tested throughout a range of ageing conditions. Our roofing coatings will withstand the elements of weathering and are suitable for use in locations with harsh climatic changes.

CONCRETE TILE ROOFS (GOOD CONDITION AND/OR PREVIOUSLY PAINTED)

• Repair or replace faulty, damaged, or broken tiles and replace any defective valley irons.

• Thoroughly clean the surface using a high-pressure cleaner at a minimum 3000psi.

• If surface has been previously painted, ensure compatibility with existing coating and ensure flaking paint is removed to provide a sound, clean surface.

• Repoint using Globalpoint flexible pointing.

• Apply Prepcoat Surface Treatment.

• Apply one coat of Primecote Standard.

• Apply two (2) coats of one of our top coats – Restora, Elastacote or Infracote.

CONCRETE TILE ROOFS (EXTREMELY POROUS)

• Repair or replace faulty, damaged, or broken tiles and replace any defective valley irons.

• Thoroughly clean the surface using a high-pressure cleaner at a minimum 3000psi.

• Repoint using Globalpoint flexible pointing.

• Apply Prepcoat Surface Treatment.

• Apply one coat of Primecote High Build.

• Apply two (2) coats of one of our top coats – Restora, Elastacote or Infracote.

METAL ROOFS (NO RUST AND/OR PREVIOUSLY PAINTED)

• Thoroughly clean the surface using a high-pressure cleaner at a minimum 3000psi.

• If surface has been previously painted, ensure compatibility with existing coating and ensure flaking paint is removed to provide a sound, clean surface.

• Any new metal roof sheeting must be allowed to weather or be chemically aged with a suitable metal conditioner.

• Any rusty screws must be replaced and suitably primed.

• Apply one coat of Primecote Standard.

• Apply two (2) coats of one of our top coats – Restora, Elastacote or Infracote.

METAL ROOFS (WITH RUST AFFECTED AREAS)

• Thoroughly clean the surface using a high-pressure cleaner at a minimum 3000psi.

• Any new metal roof sheeting must be allowed to weather or be chemically aged with a suitable metal conditioner.

• Ensure any rust affected areas are converted with Globalcote Rust Converter.

• Any rusty screws must be replaced and suitably primed.

• Apply one coat of Primecote Metal.

• Apply two (2) coats of one of our top coats – Restora, Elastacote or Infracote.
